Who We Are
FEDUP is made up of a small group of trans+, gender diverse, and intersex individuals committed to pursuing our mission and increasing awareness, understanding, and access for our community. We operate with a non-hierarchical structure, where team members are organized into pods for each of FEDUP’s functions. Decisions are made collaboratively at different levels—individual, pod, or collective—depending on where the decision aligns with our policy.
Not all of our team members have elected to be listed on the website for safety reasons. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at hello@fedupcollective.org.
Team Members
Zain Lugay (they/he)
Zain is a Pakistani-Filipino enby from upstate New York. They are a climber, quilter, and future dentist. They are interested in public health dentistry and interdisciplinary research on oral health, disordered eating, and food insecurity.
Cody (he/him)
Through his various positions at the EDCSSMU, Safely Connected, FEDUP, and as a consultant on trans and disabled experiences in healthcare, Cody has worked with, researched, and managed eating disorder content creation and facilitation unpacking the history and basis of healthcare that erase and oppress trans, intersex, fat, disabled, BIPOC bodies and creating accessible, informed, and affirming treatment approaches. He is particularly focused on how all of this ties into harm reduction and trauma informed work, but spends a significant amount of his time at FEDUP in administrative and fundraising roles.
Ian (he/him)
Ian is a Black, trans* and queer-identified man who just so happens to be Autistic. He graduated from a local community college and has completed quite a few trainings in mental health including harm-reduction, substance use, and how to use trauma-informed practices. While living in West Philadelphia (Lenni-Lenape land) through political unrest he is aware of the importance of community healing and community aid and plans to continue his education in the Nursing field. He is also aware of the difficulties of having multiple underserved identities while going through the process of recovering from an eating disorder. His main goal is to better serve and support his community.
Jo Walduck (she/they)
Jo is a trauma-informed, HAES-aligned, fat, trans, AuDHD life, business and recovery coach, specialized in life transitions, and recovery in its largest, most holistic sense, touching on addictions, restrictions, substances and behaviours. Raised in the UK but having spent all her adult life in France, she does most of her coaching and writing work online (in English and French), while exploring the right ingredients and environments to support her financial, physical and emotional wellbeing and recovery needs. Outside of consultancy work to fund her under- and un-paid work, Jo works primarily with women and queer beings of all genders, likes long walks on the beach, fighting fascists, old lady dogs, discussing intersectionality, trauma and humanity, soft kisses and even softer ice cream.
